Get to know your best effort

OCA stands for Optimum Chainring Angle and is one of the proprietary metrics offered by ROTOR INpower and 2INpower. OCA is closely linked to ROTOR Q rings, as it helps to find the proper chainring setup.

OCA determines the angle in degrees, measured from the upper dead spot (with the cranks perpendicular to the floor) in which the effort barycenter (area enclosed by the torque/force curve) is shown in the TORQUE 360 graph.

Only possible with Q rings

Optimum Chainring Position (OCP) represents the different setup positions that ROTOR Q rings offer to fit a rider’s distinct pedaling style. Q rings feature up to 5 OCP´s, with OCP 3 as an intermediate starting point, all to optimize your pedaling style.

You can determine your OCP if you know your Optimum Chainring Angle (OCA), which can be found by conducting a TORQUE 360 pedal analysis via ROTOR´s 2INpower and INpower User Software.

OCP MOUNT

ROTOR’s exclusive patented technology “OCP Mount” refers to the pedalling’s biomechanical optimization when you are using Q rings or other oval chainrings; this lets you adjust the orientation between chainrings and cranks by one step degree. The shape of the axle lets you position independently both cranks and spider or Direct Mount, and thereby change the relative orientation in order to adapt to the optimum orientation of each user.

The multiple positions offered by “OCP Mount” technology let a fine adjustment of the OCP (Optimum Chainring Position), because so far you could position the Q rings in 5 exclusive OCP points, in 4 by 4 degrees, with a usual spider. In this way, with the OCP Mount technology, any oval chainring can benefit from an OCP with micro-adjustment to increase the performance of your pedalling and your knees health, or even to modulate the traction in MTB and Cyclo-cross. Adjust perfectly your chainrings to your pedalling style with the ROTOR’s “OCP Mount”.

Get “more” out of your Q rings

“MAS” stands for Micro Adjust Spider and means “more” in Spanish. That’s what this technology is all about: more adjustability to further optimize your Q rings. Additional bolt holes allow for intermediate positions between a Q ring’s existing Optimum Chainring Positions (OCP).

A standard crank and Q-Ring combination offers approximately 5 degrees of OCP adjustment. MAS together with Q rings offer half positions of approximately 2.5 degrees of OCP adjustment. This means you can micro adjust the orientation of your Q rings to fine-tune your pedal performance.

How we make aluminum cranks lighter

ROTOR´s CNC-machined cranks feature our Trinity Drilling System, which is a process that drills three full-depth holes along the axis of the crank.

This allows us to remove excess material from the crank arm resulting in a lighter crank without compromising its exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio.

TDS

Total balance

ROTOR’s Twin Leg Concept boasts the stiffest possible crankset by balancing the cranks’ left-to-right stiffness. There is no point in making an ultra-stiff right crank arm if the left crank arm doesn’t

measure up. By designing the cranks as a real set — not just two individual arms, TLC offers the most-balanced cranks possible.

Break away

Hydraulic Smart – By using hydraulics in a smart way, benefits gained include frictionless, smooth shifting activation, lightweight, and low maintenance. Technology applied – Science added to help the rider

EU product – EU cycling and manufacturing expertise Precision – Gear indexing is placed where it makes the most sense

INPOWER_Imagen_

What matters is inside

Multi-discipline power meter integrated inside the crank axle where it is protected from impact and external contaminants. Because power is measured in the left leg through two sets of opposing strain gauges placed in the axle, cyclists who already own a current set of ROTOR cranks can purchase the left crank arm independently.

Proprietary metrics TORQUE 360 and Optimum Chainring Angle combine with ANT+™ protocol metrics including cadence, torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness to provide precise data about your power output. INpower uses a standard AA battery, which can be easily replaced without tools wherever AA batteries are sold.

2INPOWER_Imagen

Double your data, strengthen your knowledge

Dual-sided power meter that measures power independently in each leg and accurately assesses force variations throughout a pedal stroke. Proprietary metrics TORQUE 360 and Optimum Chainring Angle combine with ANT+™ and Bluetooth® Smart protocol metrics including

cadence, balance, torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness to provide precise data about your power output. 2INpower’s rechargeable battery can last up to 250 hours and can be charged 300 times throughout its lifetime.

AERO_Imagen

Allied against the wind

ROTOR Aero components, such as Aero chainrings or the flagship aero FLOW crank, help cyclists maximize their wattage output in the war against wind resistance.

Tapered FLOW crank arms optimize aero behavior, while a smooth, solid aero chainring surface reduces aerodynamic drag.

CNC_Imagen

Manufactured with the latest technology

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining provides a precise and consistent manufacturing process. This is especially important when it comes to crafting bike components in order to ensure

flawless funcionality with respect to all the parts working together. Equipped with the latest CNC resources, ROTOR parts are precisely machined to within a hundredth of a millimeter.

7055_Imagen_

Why we choose aluminum

7075 aeronautic-grade aluminum alloy offers superior physical properties with which to craft

components like our signature Q-Rings, REX 3 and 3D24 cranks.

7055_Imagen

To build the best cranks, we start with the best materials

7055 combines the superior physical properties of a 7000 alloy series with incredible fatigue resistance. Every single bar of raw material is checked by ultrasonic inspection to guarantee it free of internal

defects. 7055 is used to craft our 100% CNC machined cranks, like the FLOW, the 3D+, and the REX 1.

6066_Imagen

What you want in your forged cranks

6066 aluminum alloy’s weight-to-resistance ratio makes it the perfect

material for forged components, like the REX 2 and 3D30 cranks.

QARBON_Imagen

Weight, stiffness and strength – get all three

3K woven, high-modulus carbon fiber is bonded to the outside of a Q ring to reinforce the Q ring´s structure. Carbon fiber´s properties allow for weight

reduction in comparison with conventional aluminum chainrings. At the same time, the stiffer carbon fiber sheet offers increased lateral stiffness.

BLUETOOTH_Imagen

Compatibility that counts

Bluetooth® Smart (LE) is the power-and-application-friendly version of Bluetooth that was built for the Internet

of Things (IoT).

ANTPLUS_Imagen

Easy data transfer via ANT+™

ANT+™ is the wireless technology that allows your ROTOR power meter to communicate with your

cycling head unit, and with the user software on your computer.

RVOLVER Technology

Our new RVOLVER® hub technology features an innovative patent-pending floating clutch system that disengages the ring from the pawls when you stop pedaling in order to reduce friction. When you resume pedaling, the ratchet ring instantly re-engages to deliver a

responsive power transfer that you will feel on every single stroke. RVOLVER® is a lightweight yet durable hub solution with all components are machine CNC’d from ultralight 7075 aluminum with fewer steel or threaded parts for ease of assembly and maintenance.
